Are you a teacher who is curious about how to incorporate hands-on cues in your classes?

Not sure what is appropriate, safe and purposeful?

Join Cynthia Pedraza for this 2 hour Continuing Education workshop to dive into these deep conversations. Discover ways to balance the yearning many have for hands-on adjustments with the first priority of keeping everyone safe.

You will learn well-informed options that can be offered skillfully and with compassion. We will cover the following ideas as well as practice 10 different specific hands-on adjustments for the most common yoga asanas.
A good manual yoga adjustment skillfully communicates the 

  • Get consent in a compassionate way

  • Read the room and allow students to opt out at any time

  • Be gracious if they opt out

  • Use addists to help a student ease out of a pose too

  • Make your presence known

  • Know what needs adjusting and air on the side of “less is more”

  • Ask for feedback in the moment

  • Pair your verbal cues and your more hands-on cues

A good manual yoga adjustment skillfully communicates the actions of the pose to your body so your body understands the posture more clearly.
